Carabao Island, Romblon, Philippines

She stood there, almost at the point of wilting away, and wanting to give up everything. She grew tired of her predictable, monotonous life. Of trying to prove her worth every time.

She realized that giving your absolute everything is tiring, exhausting and drains the life in you. Inside her head reeled the words “I’m tired. No more of this. I give up.”

But then, in an instant, as if it was just waiting for the right deep, dark moment, she remembered the calm she learned while surfing the wild waves of life. She reflected on the times she stood alone, meditated, and felt utterly at peace.

With that, she felt a faint glimmer of hope that everything will be exactly how it’s meant to be - a struggle in every way, but when all the pain is gone, it will be just as rewarding.

She gets up from bed. She wipes the dried tears on her face, washes her face, and fixes her hair.

“I’ll be alright” she says. And she will be. With as much ardor and incitement to go on. To Move on.
